My niece got married three years ago. She had been living with her mother and stepfather, plus her sister and two stepsisters, and all of them came to the wedding, in fact all three of her sisters were bridesmaids. Obviously her father was there too, and of course he was the one who gave her away. But it was a happy, harmonious day, and there was just no problem. Would you want anything less than that for your daughter? I very much doubt it. Come on, you don’t want to make her unhappy. And isn’t it great that she has a stepfather with whom she gets on well? It would be far worse if she had had to endure life with a stepfather she hated. Be glad for her that this obviously isn’t the case. It’s still tough for you, I fully understand. But you are still her father, and nothing takes that away from you. Be the man she loves and admires, and do the day with dignity and courtesy. Regardless of what you think of her stepfather, it’s a time to be very grown-up about it.

So it went into foreclosure. She finally moved out and I went out to check on it, thinking maybe I could move in and save it. She took everything out of that house, the appliances, the cooling system, the gates off the fence, she cut the wires to the carbon monoxide detector, everything. I did not have the money to replace it all, so I had to let it go. I have not heard from her or any of the rest of them for 11 years now and you know what? I don’t care she is a money grubbing bitch, always looking for a free ride. I am glad I don’t have to deal with her anymore. I heard through the grapevine 1 if my brothers passed shortly after my mom did but no one told me. So, I guess they all believed her lies and so they can have her and her lies. I am so much better off without them in my life.
