My English Bulldog Can Do Virtually Anything Colorful Tee Shirts Black
Some extra information, I’m a sophomore at a prestigious private high school; I am a born genius with an IQ 158. I’m in some tough ap classes, and one honors English class. I’ve done extremely well on my sat/act practices. I have multiple extra-curriculars such as jazz band since I play jazz guitar, debate team where I’m both the top varsity speaker and captain. Also the captain of the JV soccer team. So overall my schedule is packed. But the homework just accumulates on different days. So I end up doing 102 of notes for American history on a Monday. Then doing ap chemistry work on electron orbital on Wednesday. But that can get in the way of my training in karate I’ve achieved a black belt and I go 4 times a week for an hour. So recently I acquired some money and decided to buy a ps4 because I thought I could find a stress release from it. During my weekend it really helped but my mother won’t allow me to play on weekdays she said only on weekends but I rarely get a weekend off. So what’s the fairness, I basically torture myself trying to maintain a 4.0 just so I can get my parents off my case. But it’s frustrating because it’s basically the only time that I don’t feel stressed by my next assignment. Which is normally not me, I’ve usually loved school and homework, and never had problems with work. But the flood of it killing me what do I do. I know why I want to get good grades. I want to go to mit and getting a phd in theoretical physics but the process is starting to chip away at my sanity. If you’ll excuse I have 4 chemistry assignments, 2 calculus assignment, and a summary on market revolution due 2 days from now. As an architecture student I can tell you – the earlier the better. In my experience lectures are going the way you can gain all the required knowledge and be ready to start working on your project only at the end of semester, sometimes a few days before deadline. But you don’t want to mess with it along with other tasks, tests etc, and you probably don’t even remember how to start because it was explained on the very first lectures. The best way is to look through the textbook before the classes started, so even if you’re unable to start before proper explanation, you can recognize the topic and imagine the amount of work you have to do. In my studying process the earlier you start a project, the more time you have to get a consultation with teachers, to correct some mistakes. I hope we all, architects and engineers, use a software to create drawings, where it’s so easy to erase and redraw things you’ve made wrong, so why not to start early? High school is the home stretch. If you are smart prioritize. Be sure to talk with your parent if you take this strategy so it doesn’t cause issues at home. If you have parents who expect 100s on everything seeing the zeros pop up in your schools online system could be trouble. One of my kids has figured out that basically he can do about 1/2 the homework and still get As and Bs. For some reason work done in school doesn’t seem to be such a bother, but homework is soul crushing for him. Basically he makes sure to use his school time wisely, does well on projects and tests. Homework is often not worth as much as in class work. Figure out each teachers grading system and work it. In one class my son has a 98 with only doing 1/2 the homework because homework is worth less than papers and tests. In another class he finds he has to do most of the homework to get a good grade. He basically figures out how much homework he can skip and still get a 90. We do school the wrong way in the US. There is a lot of focus on small things rather than helping high schoolers figure out what they are good at and helping them get those skills. In many countries by 16 you are in a program aimed toward your future career. Don’t ruin a future in a great career because you hate Algebra homework. Figure out what you like and you are good at then prioritize that. Make your priorities instead of internalizing the priorities of other people. You will feel happier and healthier. However, your future and making your path should be a major priority. Do not prioritize the short term fun (video games, parties, etc) over the long term success. If you prioritize your success correctly so you can succeed while spending more time on those subjects that will most prepare you for a long term career there will be plenty of time for leisure pursuits. If you think your long term career is to be an Instagram influencer, star athlete, or other highly competitive thing that doesn’t turn out for others then you need to be doing well in school 1st then spending free time on building your YouTube channel or whatever and monetizing it. If you aren’t making money at it now then it’s just a hobby. For 99% of people it will only ever be a hobby, and that’s ok. Get school right and you will have lots of options professionally. You can stay on top of school and easy back on trying to do every piece of work that gets thrown at you if you focus on getting very high grades on the high return assignments. If you have parents who expect 100s on everything seeing the zeros pop up in your schools online system could be trouble. One of my kids has figured out that basically he can do about 1/2 the homework and still get As and Bs. For some reason work done in school doesn’t seem to be such a bother, but homework is soul crushing for him. Basically he makes sure to use his school time wisely, does well on projects and tests. Homework is often not worth as much as in class work. Figure out each teachers grading system and work it. In one class my son has a 98 with only doing 1/2 the homework because homework is worth less than papers and tests. In another class he finds he has to do most of the homework to get a good grade. He basically figures out how much homework he can skip and still get a 90. We do school the wrong way in the US. There is a lot of focus on small things rather than helping high schoolers figure out what they are good at and helping them get those skills. In many countries by 16 you are in a program aimed toward your future career. Don’t ruin a future in a great career because you hate Algebra homework. Figure out what you like and you are good at then prioritize that. Make your priorities instead of internalizing the priorities of other people. You will feel happier and healthier. However, your future and making your path should be a major priority. Do not prioritize the short term fun (video games, parties, etc) over the long term success. If you prioritize your success correctly so you can succeed while spending more time on those subjects that will most prepare you for a long term career there will be plenty of time for leisure pursuits. If you think your long term career is to be an Instagram influencer, star athlete, or other highly competitive thing that doesn’t turn out for others then you need to be doing well in school 1st then spending free time on building your YouTube channel or whatever and monetizing it. If you aren’t making money at it now then it’s just a hobby. For 99% of people it will only ever be a hobby, and that’s ok. Get school right and you will have lots of options professionally. You can stay on top of school and easy back on trying to do every piece of work that gets thrown at you if you focus on getting very high grades on the high return assignments. I’m in some tough ap classes, and one honors English class. I’ve done extremely well on my sat/act practices. I have multiple extra-curriculars such as jazz band since I play jazz guitar, debate team where I’m both the top varsity speaker and captain. Also the captain of the JV soccer team. So overall my schedule is packed. But the homework just accumulates on different days. So I end up doing 102 of notes for American history on a Monday. Then doing ap chemistry work on electron orbital on Wednesday. But that can get in the way of my training in karate I’ve achieved a black belt and I go 4 times a week for an hour. So recently I acquired some money and decided to buy a ps4 because I thought I could find a stress release from it. During my weekend it really helped but my mother won’t allow me to play on weekdays she said only on weekends but I rarely get a weekend off. So what’s the fairness, I basically torture myself trying to maintain a 4.0 just so I can get my parents off my case. But it’s frustrating because it’s basically the only time that I don’t feel stressed by my next assignment. Which is normally not me, I’ve usually loved school and homework, and never had problems with work. But the flood of it killing me what do I do. I know why I want to get good grades. I want to go to mit and getting a phd in theoretical physics but the process is starting to chip away at my sanity. If you’ll excuse I have 4 chemistry assignments, 2 calculus assignment, and a summary on market revolution due 2 days from now. As an architecture student I can tell you – the earlier the better. In my experience lectures are going the way you can gain all the required knowledge and be ready to start working on your project only at the end of semester, sometimes a few days before deadline. But you don’t want to mess with it along with other tasks, tests etc, and you probably don’t even remember how to start because it was explained on the very first lectures. The best way is to look through the textbook before the classes started, so even if you’re unable to start before proper explanation, you can recognize the topic and imagine the amount of work you have to do. In my studying process the earlier you start a project, the more time you have to get a consultation with teachers, to correct some mistakes. I hope we all, architects and engineers, use a software to create drawings, where it’s so easy to erase and redraw things you’ve made wrong, so why not to start early? I don’t mean you have to bring an almost ready task in your estimation and then clean it up from tons and tons of mistakes, sometimes you really need to listen a tutor before.
